JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION TITLE: Juab County Deputy Sheriff
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Juab County Sheriff’s Office is generally accepting applications for the position of Sheriff’s Deputy, which may include duties and assignments in patrol or jail operations, depending on the needs of the Sheriff’s Office.
The duties of a Sheriff’s Deputy generally include, but are not limited to, respond to emergency calls, search and rescue operations, civil service process; investigate traffic accidents, criminal complaints, domestic disputes and could include the detention, monitoring, safeguard and protection of committed inmates.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or its equivalent; current Utah driver’s license; Must be a U.S. citizen. If not POST Certified through the Utah POST Academy, must be able to successfully complete POST certification prior to full induction as a Sheriff’s Deputy in any capacity. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of full appointment as Juab County Sheriff’s Deputy and be able to successfully pass an employment and criminal background investigation. Must be willing to consent to pre-employment and random drug testing and must also successfully complete all phases of required pre employment testing.
